Together, we can set Richland Two on the path to S.E.T.—Safety, Education, and Transparency. By prioritizing Safety, we can create a secure environment where learning thrives, allowing us to focus on Education. Collaborating with our Superintendent, we can address the policies that have led to challenges for board members, students, teachers, and parents, ultimately improving district performance. This includes refining discipline policies and providing pathways for students who are not pursuing college to attend trade schools or earn certifications before graduating, while still preparing those focused on college.
- Safety: Ensuring a safe learning environment for all students, teachers, and staff is our top priority. This includes advocating for metal detectors in all schools and addressing discipline issues to help students become functional members of society. Exploring the possibility of installing cameras in the classroom to help with discipline issues to protect teachers and students.
- Education: We will create more opportunities for parents and the community to be involved in education, whether through trade jobs, college prep, or real-life skills electives. We'll also reduce teacher stress by streamlining professional development requirements and work on improving pay scales to retain our exceptional educators and staff while attracting new talent as others retire.
- Transparency: We will ensure the School Board operates transparently, maintaining open communication with students, parents, teachers, staff, and the community. We’ll also implement an open budget to clearly show how the district’s money is spent and address necessary policy changes without delay.

Why I am running
As a parent, I have witnessed first hand that our district has not performed to the standard it should have. The focus seemed to be more on appearances than on safety, education, and transparency issues highlighted in the Inspector General's Report about the district. This reality struck close to home when a gun was found at the very school where my wife works and our daughter attends. Around that same time, I was getting notifications about threats and weapons at my son’s middle school. My wife, who is a reading interventionist within the district, said, "We need your help with safety, discipline, and more transparency." I knew I had to step up and run for the School Board. When we initially chose Richland Two for our children's education, we believed in the quality of education it promised. However, the district has not maintained the standards it upheld in the past, and there has been a noticeable decline in educational effectiveness.
