Meet & Greet, Engaging with Voters, and Still Coaching Baseball for Dentsville
On Saturday, I had the chance to host a meet-and-greet and connect with many voters, sharing campaign literature and discussing key issues. However, the event was cut short when a three-car accident happened nearby on Polo Road. I quickly left to help at the scene, providing first aid to the victims. One car had spun around, and I stayed with those involved until paramedics arrived, even assisting in getting one person onto a stretcher and into the ambulance. Thankfully, from what I’ve heard, everyone is okay. My thoughts are with those affected, and I want to thank the State Highway Patrol, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, and the Dentsville Fire Department for their fast response. Afterward, I brought the leftover donuts and coffee from the event to the Fire Department to show my appreciation.
Later that day, I spent time placing campaign signs throughout the community. On Sunday, I attended Village Church at Blythewood, where I heard an inspiring sermon and had the chance to talk with voters about important issues like behavioral challenges and safety in our schools. Afterward, I continued putting out signs.
On Monday, October 21st, I spent the day speaking with voters again, and in the evening, I coached the 15U softball league in Dentsville. I’m incredibly proud of my players—one of our newer players overcame his fear of being hit by the ball and nailed a solid hit down the third-base line! The team’s bats came alive, and although we didn’t win, it was a great game that taught the boys that sometimes you can do everything right, but the other team can still make incredible plays. I’ll be out at the ball fields every night to support the league, even while running for office. Coaching these young boys is a priority, just as my dedication to them mirrors my commitment to serving the families of Richland Two.
I’m dedicated to staying involved in the community, and I hope to see you at the polls. Early voting is open, so make sure to cast your vote! Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
